IN OTHER WORDS

The fleet footed Taj Burrow began the year with an intense hunger after finishing 2005 off the pace due to injury. The avid entertainer blitzed into second on the tour’s first event, the Quiksilver Pro behind Slater and looked as though he seriously threaten for the crown. The threat was still in place right up until the Billabong Pro in Mundaka but in the end Slater got the better of him and everyone else. The aerial master has inspired a generation of surfers who are now infiltrating the top ranks, and his affect on the development of new school surfing is immeasurable. With such a huge following Burrow has starred in three signature films including Sabotaj, Montaj, and TB’s Fair Bits. If he still has the burning desire in 2007 watch out as it could be his year.
